Oh for god’s sakes. I can’t believe he didn’t sign. West Ham? Disgraceful!
Of course I’m lying. It’s difficult to get upset over a player pulling out for signing for you when:
a) You’ve never heard of him before Everton got interested b) We’ve already got decent players in his position (right back/mid)
c) He seemed to be stalling so long that even Everton’s legendary “string out the signing so the fans get bored” tactic seemed weird. Almost as if he was waiting for his boyhood club who all his family support to come in for him.
Of course the joke will be on him when West Ham get bought by the Arabs and they sign the best right back in the world. Coleman. Aw crud.
Elsewhere the nicest man in the world, Steven Naismith, has left us. The fact he brought in nearly £10m from Norwich City and he wasn’t even in our squad any more kind’ve makes it a decent deal I think. And if that means that we bring someone else in that can properly challenge Lukaku up front for a place. Someone fast would be nice. Dwight Gayle is young and available maybe? Oh, and if anyone mentions Yarmelenko I will seriously fune here. It ain’t happening folks.
Anyway, we don’t need him now that Mirallas is back, back, BACK baby. Or we’re playing him to put his value up before we sell him to Monaco in ten days. I’m okay with either really.
Swansea, Man City and Carlisle…
The next week is going to be huge in terms of the league and cup games.
Swansea at home is simply a game we have to win. We have fallen away from the sides at the top of the league and find ourselves stuck in 11th place. If we keep drawing games we may find ourselves sucked into the lower half of the league and really struggle to get out again.
And I don’t need to repeat myself.. ok I will… if we don’t win anything and finish 11th our BEST PLAYERS WILL LEAVE. *sigh*
Midweek is obviously now our biggest game of the season, unless we win, as we take on Man City away. Hopefully we can steer free of injuries against the Swans for this one and park that bus whilst nicking six goals on the break before half time. It’s the only thing that can help my nerves for that.
And next Saturday we take on Carlisle away after they knocked out Yeovil (thank god as I couldn’t possibly get there for a Sunday lunchtime). We need to win that one too. We’re a cup team now.
I mean, I really hope we’re a cup team now.

There are obviously loads of things you can bet on when it comes to Everton. They are still about 6/1 with Bet365 to win the cup which is a bit mad if we get through.
